Stay registered. Stay current. Stay out of enforcement.
New facility registration, annual renewals, tank inventory updates, and nForm e-permitting submissions — handled end to end so your PBS file is always inspection-ready.

What sets our pbs registration & renewal apart.
- 01
We work in nForm every week
NYSDEC's nForm e-permitting portal is where every PBS submission now lives. We file new registrations, renewals, ownership changes, and tank inventory updates through nForm regularly — no learning curve, no avoidable rejections.
- 02
Triggered by tank or by capacity
PBS registration is required for any facility with a single tank ≥ 110 gallons or aggregate on-site storage ≥ 1,100 gallons. We confirm your facility's regulatory status and maintain a clean, accurate tank inventory in DEC's system.
- 03
Annual renewals on autopilot
Miss a renewal and you're operating an unregistered facility — a violation that carries fines and complicates every future permit. We track your renewal dates, file on time, and keep your DEC ID active.
How we work.
- STEP 01
Tank inventory & status review
We document every regulated tank on the property, including capacity, contents, construction, age, and operational status — so the registration matches the site.
- STEP 02
nForm submission
We complete and submit the registration package to NYSDEC through nForm, including all required attachments and tank-system documentation.
- STEP 03
Confirmation & PBS ID
We confirm receipt, monitor for DEC review comments, and deliver your assigned PBS facility ID — the number every future inspection, renewal, and permit references.
- STEP 04
Annual maintenance
We track renewal deadlines and tank inventory changes, file annual updates, and keep the DEC record matching the actual site.
About pbs registration & renewal.
Who is required to register with the NYSDEC PBS program?
Any facility in New York with petroleum storage capacity meeting either trigger: a single tank ≥ 110 gallons, or aggregate on-site capacity ≥ 1,100 gallons. This applies to retail service stations, commercial properties, municipal fleet yards, hospitals, data centers — anywhere fuel is stored at scale.
What happens if my registration lapses?
An unregistered or expired PBS facility is operating in violation of 6 NYCRR Part 613. DEC can issue a notice of violation, levy fines, and complicate downstream permits and property transactions. We re-register lapsed facilities and bring the file back into good standing.
Do you work outside New York?
Yes — for federal SPCC plans, EPA UST registration, and Virginia DEQ UST notification. PBS registration specifically refers to the New York State program; other states use different registration systems we also handle.
Permitting Services
End-to-end permit applications and agency coordination for petroleum storage facilities in New York and Virginia. We move the paperwork — you build.
Compliance Resolution
Compliance resolution for petroleum bulk storage facilities. Failed tightness tests, Certificate of Occupancy holdups, signage variances, and substantial modifications resolved cleanly.
